description : We released our first software title in June of 1996 and have been building upon our initial efforts since then. Most of our software is distributed as shareware. We are members of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP). Our main distribution channel is the Internet, but many other publishers include our products in their CD-ROM compilations as well. Basta's programs are small, fast and handy. We tend to avoid fancy splash screens and multimedia bloat, and instead, focus on simplicity and above all, reliability at very affordable prices. Our software does not include adware, spyware, or any other similar technology. We respect the privacy of our customers and do not give out their information. Shareware is a software distribution and sales concept that gives users the opportunity to try a product during a free evaluation period before purchasing the appropriate number of end user licenses to continue using it. Shareware software is also known as try-before-you-buy software.
